The war is on for life.
It was suppose to be a brief visit to the doctor to pick up my test results. My body was betraying me for a few months but I never thought that it would be something this grave.
The paper that the doctor gave me, said that I was really ill and without immediate treatment, it could be fatal.
In that moment, I froze.
My feet felt heavy.
This was seriously happening to me.
Everything that matters seems to become crystal clear in moments like these, and
for me all I was thinking about was family, and life.
I just wanted to live.
I just wanted life.
A tear welled up in my eye as I asked the famous question " why me?"
But as quickly as it came, so did this scripture:
John 11: 4 "When Jesus heard that, he said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby"
Then this steady calm held me in place.
really did not know what my future would be like, but I knew that I had to fight!
There is an urgency in the atmosphere for all God fearing, bible believing, Jesus serving Christians to wake up! Christian healing still happens. Miracles still happens. But are we really willing to do what is necessary to get it done?
Do we really see what is happening right around us and in our families? The subtle deception of the enemy to kill us by any means necessary. We can no longer lay back, we must fight:
Our family needs us! Creation needs us!
We can't prevent everything but we can join in agreement with God and say that our bodies are temples of our Most High and they should be in good health.
I think not!
When God sent salvation through Jesus Christ it was to make us completely whole. Not just salvation for our spirits , but deliverance for our soul and healing for our bodies.
It's all wrapped up in the word salvation.
That's why 3 John 1:2 says:
"Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth"
It's all in there baybey!
We as Christians ( me included ) tend to give full focus to our spiritual prosperity - prayer, reading the bible, fasting like it's going out of style - but our health ... hey, I'll have some fries, chicken and a milkshake?
How can we enjoy spiritual growth in sick bodies?
Let’s go back to the beginning, shall we …
the beginning we were created completely whole. We had no sickness. God
gave to Adam the tree in the garden for meat, and man ate only the food
produced from the garden. Never did Adam go back God and say, “I have a cold’, ‘I have the flu’, or as heavy as, ‘I have cancer’.
Then sin entered into the world and death by sin. Later in Noah’s time
God added to his diet meat, when he told Noah to kill and eat.
If we can recall, the last recorded life span in the bible, that God made for man, was ‘three score and ten years’ which adds up to be 70 years – ‘and by reason of strength a little bit longer’. But throughout the years, the abundance of diseases and infirmities, have prevented many from living to see even half of that age range.
So, we must ask the question, ‘Did God change his mind?’
If God Did Not Change His Mind About Christian healing,
Then, What Went Wrong?
During the course of time we were taught to stray away from the principles of health that was taught to us from the bible, and we have instead, embraced the principles of man.
Every thing that was harmful to us has became notoriously cheap and impressively accessible. Is it even surprising why many of us, find ourselves sick?
I stopped at many gas stations while driving on the freeway in the USA and all I could find to eat was pizza, donuts, coffee, and soda! Where were the fruits and fruit drinks? Where's the proper food?
The accumulation of all these harmful toxins in our bodies causes the body to react negatively, and may sometimes even lead to deadly diseases. It all goes back to the principle of Sowing and Reaping.
Galatians 6:7-8 (KJV)
Be not deceived ( deluded or misled); God is not mocked:
for whatsoever a man soweth,that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption ( decay, ruin and destruction);
but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
made it clear: If we sow unto the desires of our flesh, and follow the
principles of man, we shall reap corruption which means ruin and
destruction BUT if we choose today to sow to the desires of the Spirit, we can receive Christian healing.
Hosea 4: 6
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.
God was hard towards Israel because of the choice they made to reject his principles. He said clearly ‘my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge’. This should not be us today. God wants Christian healing. He died that we might have freedom! Why live any other way?
Through Faith, all things are possible.
Don't expect an easy journey.
You'll have to begin with a mind transformation:
You'll have to put your faith to work:
Can't God heal me immediately and get it over with?
He most certainly can!
I'll take miracles vs healing any day mainly because healing is a process.
But what happens after you get a miracle?
We can begin by applying these principles of Christian healing to your daily lives. Take your time with each lesson. Make notes if necessary. As we, together, examine our lifestyles and begin climbing our way to natural health and wellness.
